I stayed here 3 days in July 2021. The room has been renovated and the pictures do not do it justice. It is literally steps to the beach and view is breathtaking at sunrise and sunset. Even though I prefer North Myrtle Beach, I would stay here again.

Had spent days searching for the perfect location online. Booked one for Roxanne Towers. Drove 2 days from out of state, arrived at Palmetto rental office on time, to be told our reserved condo had been SOLD. Palmetto could have contacted us anytime before we arrived, to tell us. They offered us 2 other locations that were not in the area we wanted. Viewed one of them, that was horrendous. Now enter Ashley on the phone, from Palmetto who found the silver lining and saved our trip. Holiday Sands South 101. Perfect location, two balconies to see the ocean, close parking and beach access. Also thanks to Renee in the Palmetto office that fielded our phone calls. Felt Palmetto needed better communication before we arrived rather than the generic automated text saying we could come to the office and check in. No heads up. thankful this was not the busy season and everything was booked up.

Filthy unit and broken balcony door at room 101 Holiday Sands South!!! These are pictures of our pillowcases & sheets with dirt and hair on the master bedroom bed and filthy floors throughout the unit. I called the emergency number to see if someone could come and at least change the sheets but had to leave a message because “it wasn't available”!! My husband and I are 71 & 65 years old and had to sleep on the couch the first night! Not acceptable!! I had to go by detergent the next morning and strip the bed, wash & dry the sheets and pillowcases and sweep & mop the floors. Also the sliding glass door in the living room would not open! We had no access to the oceanfront balcony that we paid extra for if someone was in the bedroom. My amazing vacation was ruined because I had to call and or text Palmetto Vacation Rentals every day of my vacation and explain the situation then wait for them to call me back with what they were going to do. At least fix the balcony door so we could use it since I had already cleaned everything! They would say I’m so sorry and I’ll get back to you but they never did. Palmetto & Vrbo got their money so they didn’t care.

Check in was easy, the apartment was located on the first floor and which was easy to get to the beach. Our view was amazing. The apartment was well stocked with utensils and dishes. The downside was the all the remote control batteries started to go while on vacation, the ceiling fan remote for the main bedroom was no where to be found so unless you left the light on all night you couldn't have the fan on. The closet door to the main bedroom was off completely as well which this should've been fixed before renting it out. Their housekeeping overall was ok, but the freezer had a terrible fish odor and their was something spilled on the balcony that was very visible as well as the bedspread on the main bedroom was not cleaned. It's an older condo so their are some small repairs that should be looked at, but it was quiet, close to the beach and a perfect size for our group.

We loved the condo, the location on the beach was amazing and the pool options were a super plus with our kids. We were able to stay out of the heat in the indoor pools and kid were happy. However when we checked in, initial directions had us go to the office, but then when later text, we’re told to go straight to the hotel and they would have our keys. About 20 minutes back the direction we came from so 40 minutes out of the way. Our last night, the HVAC unit died and wouldn’t come on at all. No one was able to come out and fix it.

We had a wonderful time. I love the layout of the condo. The only thing that I saw was the carpet and the first bedroom needed to be replaced. Other than that I loved it. It was perfect for our needs.
