    South Carolina Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony - each year two people who have made significant contributions to South Carolina are inducted into the Hall of Fame; the judges choose one deceased and one contemporary contributor to add to the existing members

    March

    National Shag Championships - the longest running shag contest in the USA, the annual shag championships are a celebration of the dance which originated in Myrtle Beach. Every year top dancers compete in five divisions and judges choose the best that then appear on national television shows to show off their dancing prowess
    Canadian-American Days Festival - attracting lots of Canadians who flock to Myrtle Beach during the March school vacation, the festival incorporates several activities, among them the Can-Am Cup YMCA Soccer Invitational and the International Kitefest

    April

    Grand Strand Fishing Rodeo - early April to late October, spanning six months this fishing event sees fishermen and women from around the region compete for cash prizes. This rodeo concludes with am awards ceremony
    Myrtle Beach's Pride Festival and Parade - April / May, attracting many gay and lesbian visitors 

    May

    Myrtle Beach Bike Week - mid-May, over 80,000 motorbike enthusiasts come together to celebrate their Harley Davidson mean machines. The event includes stalls selling Harley goods, music, stunt shows and tattoo contests among other entertainment
    Little River Blue Crab Festival - mid-May, an annual festival held along the historic waterfront and offers arts and crafts, amusements, animal attractions, deliciously fresh seafood complemented by lively entertainment

    June

    Sun Fun Festival - held during the first week of June, this festival has a number of lively events including a sand castle competition, live music concerts, beach sports competitions, Miss Sun Fun USA pageant, air show, fun run and parade among a number of other attractions
    Summerfest - early June to early September, Barefoot landing comes alive every Monday and Saturday night when the boardwalk fills with vendors and entertainers, with the evening culminating in a firework display

    July

    Myrtle Beach Fourth of July Concert - July 4th, held at the Myrtle Beach Memorial Stadium; residents and visitors alike join in the celebrations which include music, food and fireworks among other festivities
    Myrtle's Market, the month of July sees vendors setting up to sell fresh food produce as well as handicrafts and plants every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Held at the corner of Oak Street and Mr. Joe White Avenue 
    Annual Million Dollar Hole-In-One and Putt For Cash - mid-July, hosted by the Cane Patch Driving Range, this event sees amateur golfers compete for cash prizes and a chance in the semi-finals

    August

    Craftsmen's Classic Arts and Crafts Festival - early August, held at Myrtle Beach Convention Center, this one-day event sees the gathering of artists and craftsmen that come to this event in order to sell their wares 
    Dog Days of August Blues and Jazz Fest - mid-August, the LaBelle Amie Vineyard hosts this all day lively musical festival
    Annual Dining With Friends - late August, organized by the St. John's Orthodox Church, this event has been running for over a decade as a fundraiser for those who are affected by HIV / AIDS 

    September

    TGIF Tournament - early September, annual golf tournament held at Wild Wing where participants compete for the prestigious title
    Annual Italian Festival - early September, celebrating all things Italian at Broadway at the Beach, the event includes food, music and live entertainment
    South Carolina's Largest Garage Sale - early September, held at the Pavilion Parking Garage, the pavilion's four floors are filled with vendors selling their unwanted treasures at this annual morning event 
    Annual Mark Sloan Golf Tournament - early September, a charity golf tournament to raise money for cancer research; held at the Wild Wing Golf Club

    October

    Live Oak Art Festival - early October, within easy driving distance of Myrtle Beach, this Conway festival is an opportunity to see a range of artworks and performances
    Surfside Beach Annual Family Festival - Surfside Beach attracts thousands on people to this family-friendly gathering that offers food, entertainment and lots of fun
    Oktoberfest - early to mid-October, a celebration of German music, costume, food, culture and most importantly beer, with plenty of it
    Leukemia-Lymphoma Society 7th Annual Light the Night Walk - mid-October, a two-mile charity night walk along the beach starting at Myrtle Beach Pavilion

    November

    Legends in Concert - early November to late December, watch convincing impersonations of your favorite stars performing classic tunes including everyone from Madonna and Sinatra to Michael Jackson and Marilyn Monroe
    Annual Dickens Christmas Show and Festivals - mid-November, having run for over two decades, this event witnesses 350 exhibitors dressed in period costume at this extravagant arts and crafts show
    Veterans Day Ceremony - November 11th, commemorating those who lost their lives in WWI and WWII, with services held at Myrtle Beach Convention Center Special Events Plaza and other places throughout the city

    December

    Surfside Beach Tree Lighting - the Town Hall at Surfside Beach is the center point for the tree lighting ceremony that marks the start of the festive season
    North Myrtle Beach Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting - early December, annual event with a lively parade and an appearance by Santa
    Conway Christmas Parade - Christmas festivities at the Conway parade, incorporating costumes, music and lively entertainment
    New Years' Eve Fireworks - December 31st, Myrtle Beach sees in the New Year with a spectacular firework display
