I stayed in this unit in April 2010 the room was comfortable and well maintained, and with the extras it was decorated like someones house, I am planning a September trip and plan on getting the same unit

Everything was very nice. Only one problem was the misunderstanding about towel exchange. The contract says linens included, no daily maid service. We did not understand that towels would not be exchanged for the entire week.

The condition of the condo was just ok - I had the impression that nobody had stayed in it for a long time. Cleanliness was questionable. The furniture was dated and the view from the window was blocked on the right hand side by a section of the building. The can opener didn't work, no salt and pepper set, no teapot or kettle. This criticism might seem petty but as the weather for the week was bitterly cold and windy, my husband and I were obliged to spend a lot of time inside. In general, Palmetto Rentals did a good job but I would not return to the same condo.

The room was beautiful and everything was going great until one day my girlfriend and I went to the beach. We took one of our keys to the room with us and left the one key in our key box. When we came back from the beach we discover our room was broken into. We discovered some valuables had been stolen; cash, credit cards, cell phone. This really frustrated us because our room didn't have a safe, as most do, and that it was the only time the whole vacation we left our key in the key box. We called the police and told the resort but everyone said there was nothing we could do besides fill out a police report. We did but never recovered any of our valuables. The room was excellant and a great value. We were able to salvage our vacation luckily but I would advise anyone NEVER to leave key in key box even if they tell you to. I left very skeptical of this retal agency and unfortunitly I still am. They seemed to be very unaccommodating of my stituation. BE CAREFUL WHEN LEAVING KEYS IN KEY BOX!!

We had a great week at the Caravelle. The place was vey nice, the people were friendly and we loved the location. The children loved the activities they had planned and everyone had a terrific time. We will definitely return next year. The Mitchells

Great place to stay for families. My kids ages 7 and 11 really enjoyed all the daily activities the resort had to offer (especially the crafts). The on site restaurant and ice cream shop was also a plus. The rooms were very clean and spacious. My family would definitely stay her again!

We had a great time. We have a 4 yr. old and 2 yr. old, they didn't want to leave. We were close to everything. The only downfall was that this unit IS direct oceanfront BUT you CAN NOT SEE the ocean to the right, it is blocked by a protruding building. Other than that everything was perfect!!!

We paid for a 3 bedroom, 2 bath but the original place we bookede was totally unacceptable. I am glad that Palmetto allowed us (albeit reluctantly) let us change to a different place. The Caravelle was ho hum. The class of people staying there seemed to be of a lower breed. It was as scummy as the other place we had booked, but it wasn't even close to anything I would have liked to stay at. There is no cleaning service, you have to empty your own garbage, there weren't enough dishes, the front desk was across the street, didn't realize there were other "sister" properties attached until it was to late.

This was the 3rd time we stayed here and will stay here again! I have always found the rooms to be just as stated......clean, smells great and fantastic views. The one small complaint I have is the parking. I need a handicap space and very rarely is there one available in the parking garage attached to the property. Other than this.......I have always been satisfied and will continue to stay at this location.

Me and my husband rented this property in July for a long weekend away just the two of us. Upon arriving at the condo, we took one look and already knew we weren't staying. The entire property is a dump. Not at all what the internet pictures looked like. The property was very small. The pools were tiny and dirty. As soon as you got off the elevator on our floor you saw old rusted washing machines and dryers. The halls were filled with stinky overflowing trash cans. It was terrible. The actual room was not so bad, but when you are at the beach how much time do you really spend in your room? On top of this when we contacted Palmetto Vacation Rentals to try and work something out they weren't not willing to do anything. They were not helpful at all and very rude. They would not refund us even a portion of our money. And we never stayed in the room at all. We spent the whole rest of the day finding another place to stay and ended up having to pay for both places. Our whole vacation was ruined. I would not recommend Caravalle or Palmetto Vacation Rentals to anyone!!!

We have stayed in the Caravelle before and loved everything about it. This year we wanted to try to find a better deal and stay in the newer building. This room was very nicely decorated, flat screen TV with a great view of the ocean...although it was a side view, it felt as if it was ocean front. The pool view was great as well, because we have a child, it was great to keep an eye on him. The rental agent was very helpful and made everything easy!!!! We will do it again in the future!

the room was perfect, super clean, lots of room to move around it looks like new carpet and tile my first impression was I was in someone house
