Buzz Aldrin, the second man to take a giant step for mankind on the Moon, will set foot in Myrtle Beach on Memorial Day weekend to be the grand marshal of the first Military Appreciation Days parade on Ocean Boulevard.
But don't think Aldrin is a space oddity - he'll be just one of two astronauts in town that weekend.

A seasonal carnival could be making its way to a site at Myrtle Beach Mall if the Horry County Planning Commission and Horry County Council approve a zoning change that both groups will consider later this month.
