House of Blues in North Myrtle Beach invites you to a "Who Dunnit" Dinner Show. The Murder Mystery-themed show holds a murder investigation while you dine. Every person you're with is a suspect. Guess correctly and you may receive a prize!

Zookeeper For a Day

Details:

Learn the ins and outs of what it takes to be a zookeeper at Brookgreen Gardens. Guests ages 12 and up can get an in depth look at what it's like to work at Brookgreen's Lowcountry Zoo. You'll help with feeding, cleaning, animal care and diet preparation. You'll also get to interact with all different types of animals.

The cost is $150/person. You must be at least 12 years of age, able to lift up to 20 pounds and work in any type of weather. Dates are limited to just one person each day.

Thompson Farm’s Easter Egg Hunt and Easter Bunny Brunch

Details:

The 5th annual Easter Egg Hunt at Thompson Farm will be held in April along with brunch with the Easter Bunny.

Brunch includes baked ham, bacon, grits, cheddar biscuits, fresh fruit, coffee, juice and milk. Seating is limited for brunch which will be served in Bucksville Hall. Enjoy visits with the Easter Bunny, Mickey, Minnie, Sponge Bob and Olaf!

An Easter Egg Hunt will follow brunch with more than 10,000 eggs hidden throughout the farm. Eggs will be stuffed with candy and prizes and each child is guaranteed an egg. One Golden Egg will be hidden for a special prize. Children will be divided into groups during the hunt.

Other activities during the day include Pappy's Play Area, hay wagon rides and two animal feedings.

The cost is $19 for ages 14 and up; $17 for ages 9 to 13; $12 for ages 3 to 8 and free for ages 2 and under. Call ahead for reservations. Join in on just the egg hunt and farm fun for $9/person.

The 11th annual Myrtle Beach International Film Festival (MBIFF), billed as “The East Coast’s answer to the Sundance Film Festival," will take place April 19-22, 2017, at Grand 14 Cinema at The Market Common. 

Ranked one of the top 25 film festivals out of more than 5,000 by Movie Maker magazine, the event will feature films and filmmakers from all over the world. During the four-day event, 43 films will be screened with documentaries, dramas, comedies, horror movies, short films and more.

SOS Spring Safari

Details:

Thousands of shaggers from all over the east coast gather each year at the end of April for the Society of Stranders Spring Safari in North Myrtle Beach.

Beach music lovers and shaggers from all over hit the road in search of wthe first outing of the season and their destination is the famous little strip of sand known as the Grand Strand.

For 10 days from April 21-30, 2017, the "biggest adult party on the East Coast" crashes into North Myrtle Beach with a wide variety of activities including tea parties, shag dancing, live music, mingling with friends and a huge parade.

As the sun goes down, all the local lounges light up with activity and spots like Duck's, Fat Harold's, Pirate's Cove and the OD Lounge become the center of nightlife and fun. 

On the last Saturday of the even is the parade featuring ACSC member clubs who plan, design, & build parade floats for fun & a chance to win one of the coveted awards.

Trio Dinner Coastal Culinary Experience

Details:

The Trio Dinner Coastal Culinary Experience takes some of the Myrtle Beach Area's top Executive chefs and pairs them with local students- one high school and one college. The three work together to create culinary masterpieces for one amazing meal at the Sheraton Myrtle Beach Convention Center Hotel. A silent auction will be held during the dinner event.

Chef listings and menus for the 2017 Trio Dinner will be available soon.

Singles are $85, a Couple Package is available for $160, an 8-ticket table package is $600 or a 10-ticket table supporter package is $750. Student tickets are available for $25. Proceeds will benefit the Myrtle Beach Area Hospitality Association scholarship funds for hospitality and culinary education.

Ground Zero Dragon Boat Festival

Details:

Teams of 20 paddlers and one drummer will race their boats at The Market Common during the annual Ground Zero Dragon Boat Festival. The aim is to raise funds for Ground Zero, a Christian non-profit organization that's geared toward helping teenagers connect with Christ. Spectators and participants can also enjoy a family-fun zone, live entertainment and lots of food and drink vendors.

Admission is free for spectators and all ages are welcome.

Risen Christ Christian Academy Taste of the Coast

Details:

Local restaurants will showcase their tasty foods during the 10th annual Risen Christ Taste of the Coast at House of Blues in North Myrtle Beach. Each year the family-friendly event plays host to a kid zone with rides, face painting, games and plenty of fun for parents, too. 2017 vendors and restaurants will be announced soon.

Tickets are $3 in advance or $5 at the door. Kids 12 and under get in free. Food and ride tickets will be sold for $1. Proceeds benefit Risen Christ's mission to provide students with Christian educational opportunities.

Handlebars Under the Stars Ride

Details:

Join the folks at Myrtle Beach Harley-Davidson for this night-time ride around the Grand Strand. Handlebars Under the Stars will include free event shirts for the first 200 participants as well as contests, prizes, live music and free food. Stops include The Boathouse Bar and Grill, Indigo Creek Golf Course and Wicked Tuna.

Donations are $20/rider and $10/passenger and proceeds benefit The McLeod Children's Hospital. Registration is at 5:30 p.m., and kick-stands up at 7 p.m.
